Terms of Service

By creating an account or using EcoChef ("the app", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the app.

EcoChef is an AI-powered culinary assistant that generates sustainable recipes from leftover ingredients. The app allows you to scan or input ingredients, receive AI-generated recipes, track your environmental impact, and participate in challenges.

To use certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the app, or have the consent of a guardian.
• You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to access data you are not authorized to or disrupting the service.
• You are responsible for the ingredients you scan and the recipes you choose to prepare.

Recipes, nutritional information and ingredient identification are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. Nutritional values are estimates and should not replace professional dietary advice. Always use your own judgment, check ingredients for allergies, and follow safe food handling practices.

EcoChef offers paid subscription plans. Payments are processed by Stripe, and Stripe's terms apply to your transactions. We do not store your card details.

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis depending on your chosen plan.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.

Your subscription plan determines how many ingredient scans you can perform each billing cycle. When you reach your limit, you can upgrade your plan or wait for the next cycle. Unused scans do not roll over.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or hack the app or its services.
• Share your account with others or resell access to the app.
• Upload content that is illegal, offensive or infringes the rights of others.

The app, its design, branding and software are owned by EcoChef and protected by intellectual property laws. Recipes you generate are yours to use personally. You may not copy, redistribute or commercialize the app without our permission.

EcoChef is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including any health, dietary or food safety consequences from following AI-generated recipes.

We may update, modify or discontinue features of the app at any time. We may also revise these terms. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile section, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or misuse the app.
